CHRIST CHURCH CELEBRATES

Bishop Stanton made a visitation to Christ Church, Dallas on March 7. He confirmed 30 young people at the joint Anglo-Hispanic service.

The welcome was warm and the service was festive. Following the service, a great fiesta was held. Fr. Ernie McAfee is serving Christ Church on an interim basis with wide and heartfelt gratitude among the members.

BISHOP DEDICATES BELL

It was a beautiful morning at St. Justin's, Canton. Bishop Stanton came to make his visitation. The festivities led off with a gathering around a new bell tower dedicated to the founding members of the congregation. The bell, named for St. Thomas, was specially commissioned and the tower was built by local labor. (Click on the photos for a larger view.)

The occasion also marked an opportunity for the Bishop to thank Fr. Rich Towers for his service to St. Justin's. Rich (right in the photo) will be leaving the Diocese to be married in June. Deacon Muriel Moore assisted the Bishop. The Bishop also met the Rev. Dr. Tim Perry, who was visiting from Manitoba.
